GENERAL                                                                                                                                             

 'Sakaryabaşı Adventure Race' will be held on 21-22-23 May 2021, with the support of Çifteler Municipality and the organization of GREAT BEAR Nature and Adventure Sports.

Due to the Pandemic affecting our country and the whole world, if the competition cannot be held on the specified date, the competition will not be canceled, but will be postponed to a suitable date.

COMPETITION DATE                                                                                                                             

The competition will be held on 21-22-23 May 2020. Competitor teams must be in the competition area and enter at the latest at 16:00 on Friday, May 21.

Teams that do not attend the technical meeting to be held on Friday, May 21 at 19:30 will not be allowed to compete.

The teams who want can come earlier and stay in the camp area.

COMPETITION AREA                                                                                                                             

Competition; It will be held in the Sakaryabaşı Recreation Area, in the Çifteler District, 70 kilometers from Eskişehir.

ACCOMMODATION                                                                                                                                  

  • Competitor teams will stay in their own tents in the camping area.

  • There will be shower and toilet facilities in the accommodation area.

NUTRITION                                                                                                                                      

  • We continue to work to support competitors in nutrition. Information on this subject will be made until April 10.

  • In addition, there are three restaurants in the competition area.

  • The competition area is 3500 meters from the town center of Çifteler. Competitors can meet all their needs from the district center.

SECURITY                                                                                                                                       

  • The priority in the competition is always the safety of life.

  • Organization; has the authority to stop, restart or cancel the stage/competition in any situation it deems risky in terms of security.

  • During the stages, anyone who sees any negativity in terms of security has the authority to warn the organization and stop the stage.

  • Anyone who sees someone who needs help in terms of life safety during the stages has to help.

  • There will be security personnel on land, underwater and above water at the stages, as needed.

  • It is mandatory to use the safety equipment specified and supplied by the organization.

  • Teams that do not comply with the safety rules or the warnings of the security personnel will be disqualified and will not receive points from that stage.

  • Personal accident insurance will be provided by the organization for all participants.

  • It is the competitors' own responsibility and recommended to have the necessary health checks done before the competition.

  • Each competitor has to sign the form on the participation form, declaring that he does not have any health problems that will prevent him from participating in the competitions.

  • 15 teams will participate in the competition.

  • Anyone over the age of 18, male or female, can take part in the team.

  • Teams; It consists of 4 contestants.

  • Each team must have at least 1 female competitor.

  • While creating teams; It is recommended to select competitors who have general skills and sufficient physical condition.

  • It is forbidden to get outside help and change competitors during the stages.

  • It is mandatory to use a life jacket on canoe stages and some swimming stages to be specified.

  • Details about the stages of the competition are given in Appendix 1.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Helmets are mandatory during the cycling stages.

  • Competitors will bring their own bikes. (Except tandem bikes)

  • Camping equipment (Tent, Sleeping Bag, Mat etc.)

  • Sportswear (Don't forget to bring a spare, you will get wet a lot)

  • Diving mask and swimming goggles (Personal equipment due to the pandemic.)

  • Compass (1 piece is enough)

  • Your personal medications, if any

 

 

CLOTHING                

  • Teams must wear their vest, which will be given to them by the organization and that has the team number on them, over all their clothes.

  • In addition, it is obligatory to use the materials, clothes and equipment specified by the organization for each stage.

START SEQUENCE 

  • On the first day, the starting order and team numbers will be determined at the technical meeting attended by the team representatives and will be determined by drawing lots.

  • Second day start order; The last team in the overall standings will start first.

  • Teams that do not take their place in the competition area at the stage start time will receive (-10) penalty points in that stage.

  • Each stage in the competition will be scored in itself.

  • Scoring will be done according to the score table given below.

  • Teams that fail to complete a stage or do not participate in a stage will receive "0" (Zero) points for that stage.

  • It will be stated before the stage and penalty points will be applied in some stages.

  • Each stage will be evaluated out of 100 points.

  • The average of the points collected at the end of the competition will be divided by the number of stages performed, the score of each team will be calculated out of 100 and the ranking will be made accordingly.

  • In the ranking of the teams that collect the same points, the number of the highest stage points they have received will be considered first.

    • Sample; With an average of 85 points, one of the two teams got 100 points 2 times and the other 4 times. In this case, the team that scores 100 points 4 times will be ahead in the ranking.

  • If the number of 100 points is equal, the number of 95 points they received will be checked and the application will continue in this way.

  •  Teams that achieved the same rank in stages; they get the same score. The next teams get points according to their place in the standings.

  • Example: In case of two teams making the same time in one stage, take the 3rd place; Both teams get 90 points. No 4th place points are awarded. The next team gets 80 points, which is the 5th place score.

  • Security  or if, due to unexpected force majeure, a situation occurs that prevents all teams from completing a stage, that stage will be canceled and no points will be awarded to the teams that complete it.

AWARDS:

  • All competitors participating in the competition are given a participation medal and certificate.

ANNEX 1

COMPETITION DETAILS AND EXPLANATIONS

Until the date of the competition, the implementation of the stages explained below, their distances can be changed or some stages can be removed from the competition and new stages can be added until the date of the competition. In this regard, the competing teams will be informed before the competition date.

Until the date of the competition, informative videos about certain stages will be published. In addition, after the teams are determined, your questions will be answered with a live interview.

The order below is not the order in which the stages will be performed. The days and rankings of the stages will be notified to the competing teams separately.  

STAGES

1-CANO (1000 MT) + BIKE (1500 MT) + RUNNING (1000 MT)+ SWIMMING (200 MT)

  • Canoes will be given by the organization.

  • Bicycles will be brought by the teams.

  • Each competitor in the team completes only one stage of the competition course.

  • Each competitor in his team passes the determined track as a relay race.

  • The first competitors of the competing teams start to compete collectively.

  • There may be some obstacles on the track that the competitors must pass.

  • When the last competitor completes the relevant stage, the team's finishing time is taken.

  • Teams are ranked by finishing time and score points.

2-CYCLE (4 X 1500 MT)

  • Each competitor in his team passes the determined track as a relay race.

  • The first competitors of the competing teams start to compete collectively.

  • There may be some obstacles on the track that the competitors must pass.

  • When the last competitor completes the relevant stage, the team's finishing time is taken.

  • Teams are ranked by finishing time and score points.

3-CYCLE (5000 MT) (SET)

  • 4 competitors in the team compete together.

  • Each team starts the race 1 minute apart.

  • There may be some obstacles on the track that the competitors must pass.

  • All competitors in the team must leave their bikes at the point to be shown and cross the finish line, hand in hand, collectively.

  • Teams are ranked by finishing time and score points.

4-TANDEM BIKE (2 X 1000 MT)

  • Tandem bikes will be given by the organization.

  • All teams start the race collectively, with two competitors from each team.

  • The two competitors in the team that completes the course are replaced by the other two competitors in the team.

  • New competitors also complete the same course.

  • When the stage is completed, the team's finishing time is taken.

  • Teams are ranked by finishing time and score points.

5-KANO (2 X1000 MT)

  • Canoes for two people will be given by the organization.

  • All teams start the race collectively, with two competitors from each team.

  • The two competitors in the team that completes the course are replaced by the other two competitors in the team.

  • New competitors also complete the same course.

  • When the stage is completed, the team's finishing time is taken.

  • Teams are ranked by finishing time and score points.

6-CANO (4 X 250 MT)

  • Each competitor in the team rows in turn on the designated track.

  • Each competitor in the team will complete the stage individually in turn.

  • All teams start the race collectively.

  • When the last competitor completes the course, the team's finishing time is taken.

  • Teams are ranked by finishing time and score points.

7-SWIMMING (4 X 100 MT)

  • Each competitor in the team completes the course by swimming in turn and separately.

  • The competitor can use a life jacket if he/she wishes.

  • When the stage is completed, the team's finishing time is taken.

  • Teams are ranked by finishing time and score points.

8-RUN (5000 MT) TEAM

  • 4 competitors in the team compete together.

  • All teams start the race collectively.

  • All competitors in the team must cross the finish line hand in hand, collectively.

  • Teams are ranked by finishing time and score points.

 

9-RUN (4 X 1500 MT)

  • Each competitor in the team completes the determined track in order and separately by running.

  • There may be some obstacles on the track that the competitors must pass.

  • When the last competitor completes the course, the team's finishing time is taken.

  • Teams are ranked by finishing time and score points.

10-RUN (4 X 100 MT)

  • Each competitor in the team completes the determined track in order and separately by running.

  • When the last competitor completes the course, the team's finishing time is taken.

  • Teams are ranked by finishing time and score points.

11-BENCH PRESS (MAXIMUM WEIGHT AT ONE TIME)

  • 4 contestants from each team participate.

  • Before the stage, each competitor writes to the referee how many kilograms he will lift at one time.

  • If the competitor can lift the declared weight in accordance with the rules, the weight lifted will be written to the team's record.

  • If the competitor cannot lift the declared weight, zero is written to the competitor's digit.

  • The total of the weights lifted by the team competitors in accordance with the rules is recorded as the total value of the team.

12-BARFIKS

  • 4 contestants from each team participate.

  • The total of the pull-ups drawn by each competitor in accordance with the rules is recorded as the total value of the team.

13-ROPE CLIMBING

  • 4 contestants from each team participate.

  • Each competitor climbs onto the metric rope in turn without using their feet.

  • The total height climbed by the 4 competitors is recorded as the team value.

  • Safety rope is used in high ropes.

14-WHEEL ROUNDING

  • Each team competes in turn.

  • 2 competitors from each team together roll the wheel on the ground on the 20-meter course by lifting it on its axis, not on its circumference, without leaving the side limits.

  • At the end of the 20-meter course, the other two competitors roll the wheel back to the other side.

15-TOWING A VEHICLE

  • Each team competes in turn.

  • Together, the four competitors in the team tow the vehicle with the gear in neutral for 25 meters.

16- WEIGHT CARRYING

  • Each competitor in the team takes turns carrying 50 kilograms for men and 25 kilograms for women sacks of wheat from point A to point B on the 25 meter track.

  • Teams are ranked by finishing time and score points.

17-THREE THROW

  • Each competitor in the team takes turns throwing a car tire as far as he can, as he wishes.

  • Ranking is made according to the total distance thrown by the competitors in the team.

18-SWIMMING FROM THE BOTTOM

  • 4 contestants from each team participate.

  • Swimming goggles can be used.

  • Each competitor of the team swims under water in turn, individually. The total distance that 4 competitors have swam underwater is recorded as the total value of the team.

19-DISABLED PARKOUR SWIMMING RELAY RACE

  • 4 contestants from each team participate.

  • 4 competitors swim in accordance with the rules on the 25-50 meter obstacle course, which is created separately under water and above water, respectively.

  • The total time is recorded as the total value of the team.

20- WEIGHT CARRYING OVER WATER

  • The four competitors in the team compete together.

  • Competitors carry 10 weights of 2 kilograms, located by the pool, to the platform on the other side of the pool (15 m) by swimming.

  • Penalty points are awarded for each weight dropped or not carried.

21-CARRYING A FIRST AID STRETCHER

  • 4 contestants participate in the competition.

  • All 4 competitors wait at the starting point.

  • Teams carry 1 basket stretcher with them.

  • With the start command, 4 competitors run with the basket stretcher in their hands and go behind the line 20 meters ahead.

  • 1 competitor is placed on a stretcher and duly tied to the stretcher to be shown before the competition.

  • The basket stretcher is lifted by 3 competitors and they run back to the starting point.

  • Teams are ranked according to the time to finish the job.

22-ROWING WITH INFLATABLE BOAT (2X 250 MT)

  • The two competitors in the team row together with the inflatable boat and complete the course and return to the starting point.

  • The other two competitors get on the boat and row on the same course.

  • Teams are ranked according to the course finishing time.

23-FREE DIVING (RING STICKER)

  • The four competitors in the team start from the same point of the pool.

  • Four competitors collect the 10 rings at the bottom of the 4.5 meters deep pool and bring them to the starting point.

  • A competitor can collect as many rings as he wants.

  • The team time is taken when all the rings are collected.

  • Competitors may use a diving mask.

24- FLOATING CANOO TOWING (250 MT)

  • Four competitors in the team swim and pull a canoe for 250 meters.

  • Teams are ranked according to the course finishing time.

25-PARALLEL ROPE CROSSING

  • Each competitor in the team competes in turn.

  • Each competitor advances using their hands on the parallel rope stretched over the pool and marked with metric markings.

  • The ranking of the team is determined according to the sum of the distances that each competitor advances.

26-FREE DIVING + WEIGHT HANDLING + PARALLEL ROPE CROSSING + ROPE CLIMBING

  • It is in the form of a relay race.

  • Each competitor performs one stage of the course.

  • A competitor extracts material from a depth of 4.5 meters.

  • A competitor carries the materials to be determined from point A to point B.

  • A competitor crosses the parallel rope above the pool.

  • A competitor climbs the 5 meter rope above the pool.

  • When the last competitor completes the stage, the team's finishing time is taken.

27-HAND grenade throwing

  • Each competitor in the team throws three packages of 0.5 kilograms, filled with sand, to a circular target drawn on the ground and located at a distance of 20 meters from the center.

  • The total score of the teams is calculated according to the circle where the packages stand.

28-Spear / Javelin Throw (DISTANCE)

  • Each competitor in the team takes turns throwing the javelin.

  • The team's ranking is determined by adding up the distance covered by each competitor.

34-USING A COMPASS-ESTIMATING DISTANCE

  • Four people from each team compete.

  • Ranking is made so that the team that makes the fewest mistakes gets the highest score.
